24 Everglades
Dave Sterner's 24 Everglades is a fishing machine. Equipped with a Raymarine E120 including Sonar, Radar and Weather.
We added a Simrad AP 28 autopilot to this boat and flush mounted the control head to the helm.
We added a temperature at depth instrument to the existing Cannon downriggers.
Now the boat has new breakers for the downriggers and the autopilot. The autopilot hydraulic pump was located at the transom, with hydraulic lines running forward to the helm pump. Overall, we accomplished a nice, clean installation and Dave is happy.
For twin-engine outboards, we recommend Simrad Pilots because the Virtual Feedback is very good. The "rudder sensor" has long been a problem for outboard- and stern-drive boats. Not anymore - Simrad's Virtual Feedback is really good: It works where others may not.
