Hooking up a Furuno GPS to VX2
When hooking a GPS 320, otherwise known as a BBWGPS to a Nav Net VX2, always use Data 1 port. This is a direct plug in using the connector that comes on the GPS Sensor itself. Usually the cable is cut to accomplish wire routing. A typical installation means cutting the connector off of the sensor, routing the cable to the helm and then re splicing the multi conductor cable color for color. Note that once a BBWGPS is plugged into Data 1, It becomes forever a Furuno speaking (not NMEA) sensor.
