This vessel already had Raymarine equipment installed, but the Chuck Stone wanted a more reliable back up.

We installed a Furuno NavNet 3D MFD12 with a 4k dome. Since there was no more helm space after the 2 E 120s were installed, Technical Marine Support perched the 12 inch display up on the top, bracket mounted on a piece of starboard. This provides an excellent viewing angle and maintains a clear view of the bow from the helm.

The radar arch mount was modified by PYI to accept the new radar dome. A Furuno GPS was added to enable the Chartplotter portion of the Furuno MFD12 display.

Due to lack of helm space we bracket mounted the new Furuno NavNet 3D display.

Chuck was very happy with this installation. This shows that two radars on a boat is not only possible, but sometimes desireable. The Furuno has blind sectors port and starboard due to the two satellite dishes, but as a backup, dead ahead is what counts. This elegant installation was made possible by Furuno, PYI and Technical Marine Support.
